Evelyn, if you're talking about Life of Pi, that's a great read. But it's been a while since I've read it - is it connected to Memento Mori in some way?
um, er, uh... silly me! I tend to connect things without actually connecting them out loud. And having never heard of a Momento Mori, I just assumed it was the only place such a thing had ever been mentionned in history.
It's at the beginning of the book. He likens his life to a memento mori painting, "there is always a grinning skull at my side to remind me of the folly of human ambition."
