Trouble Brewing

The Director likes weak coffee.

I don't have a problem with that; my problem is that he keeps making weak coffee. In the office. So I thought I'd post him a friendly reminder.

Andrew,
The coffee here varies from some something-like-espresso to nothing-like-coffee. It is indeed a huge business, but Arabic coffee isn't (usually) made from the bean, it's made from the husk around the bean. So its colour is more akin to tea and it tastes a little like cinnamon. Then there's the stuff more resembling Turkish coffee - it's like espresso but they insist on making it with a one-to-one ratio of coffee and sugar. So far I've found nothing that's truly like the coffee we're used to, but we're not doing too badly because there's some quality stuff here that's been brought over from Nova Scotia. That's what we brew in the office.

I'll tell you what they really do well: another of their major resources is honey, and it's fantastic. More kinds of honey than you can imagine. Expensive though.

I heart turksih coffee, I brought some back with my from albania but lost the little pot to make it in...

I made a full mug of it once to keep me up for an all-nighter. I was up all night, but for very wrong reasons...

There is a strong coffee bean headed your way. He has one or two travelling companions, but they're a small, cozy bunch. ;)
